Calvary Practicum

Overview

The foundation of the practicum is  observation and documentation. The position allows for participation in related duties under the supervision of practitioners and staff.  The program is designed to be a  learning experience for the participant  to develop skills necessary to be successful in the next step in the career path. Student availability has a direct impact on achieving goals and hours.

Position Requirements

  • Provide group and individual counseling to clients.
  • Selecting, administering, and interpreting psychological tests.
  • Implement and evaluate programs consistent with the mission of the Calvary Counseling Center.
  • Participate in Calvary Counseling Center staff meetings and case conferences.
  • Complete required training as a part of the program
  • Ability to work independently from a home office environment

Educations Requirements

Students who are completing requirements for a Master's degree in Counseling or Clinical Psychology, Counselor Education, Mental Health Counseling, or Social Work are eligible.

Computer Experience

Intermediate level of experience with Microsoft Office.

Expert level of experience with Zoom Conference Calls

Salary

The practicum is unpaid

Schedule

Students must be available Monday - Saturday. Hours will vary based on agency need and client demand.
